Why Rhema Development Foundation Stepped In

In remote subcounties like Amanang in Bukwo District, family poverty frequently interrupts young children's education. Tuition costs, exercise books, pens, and basic school uniforms quickly add up, forcing parents to make difficult choices. Without an intervention, bright young pupils risk dropping out of school completely. Rhema Development Foundation organized a dedicated field assessment at Blessed Academy to verify 37 vulnerable children (17 girls and 20 boys) and establish a reliable support structure so their learning would not be cut short.

The Story Behind the Partnership & Current Situation

This education initiative was originally made possible through the generosity of a close friend of Rhema Development Foundation—an individual donor who personally stepped forward to cover both full tuition fees and all necessary scholastic materials for all 37 children.
As economic conditions shifted, our donor's capacity changed, and she now focuses her support exclusively on providing essential scholastic materials (such as books, writing materials, and learning supplies) for the pupils.

To ensure the children did not miss a single day of school while our donor readjusts her finances, the Rhema Development Foundation team immediately engaged in direct negotiations with the management of Blessed Academy.  . Because of our strong working relationship and community trust, the school administration agreed to keep all 37 children in class while Rhema active seeks additional co-sponsors and long-term funding partners to bridge the tuition balance.

Before vs. After

Before the Project: 37 children in Amanang Subcounty were on the verge of dropping out due to severe financial hardship at home.

After the Project: All 37 children were successfully vetted, fully equipped with scholastic materials, and retained in their regular classrooms at Blessed Academy without interruption.

37 Children Safeguarded: 37 pupils (17 girls and 20 boys) remain enrolled and actively studying in school.

Zero Lost School Days: 100% classroom retention achieved through Rhema's proactive advocacy with the school management.

Ongoing Material Support: Scholastic supplies continue to be delivered directly to the children to keep them learning effectively.

While these 37 children are safely in school today, Rhema Development Foundation is actively seeking additional individual donors and institutional partners to help co-sponsor their tuition fees for upcoming terms. Partnering with us ensures these young learners finish their primary education without fear of being sent home.
